MAPLELUMIERE GAME SERVER POLICY
Hello and welcome to MapleLumiere’s Game Server Policy. Here, you will find the rules and guidelines of the server to abide by when engaging in any form of activity on the platform. The rules and guidelines set are in no way intended to oppress our users but rather, to keep our server’s environment welcoming as well as set a standard to create a fun, friendly, and fair environment for all players. The rules written here automatically apply to all players upon the creation of their account(s).
Penalties for ignoring server guidelines
In an effort to create a positive atmosphere in our server, users who exhibit toxic behavior and/or violated the game server policy will be rewarded with penalties.
Do note that these penalties aren’t mutually dependent. Users can be suspended or banned without warning at the discretion of the staff members if the violation is severe enough.
Strike Warning(s) – For first-time offenses which are very minor, a warning will be given in the form of a strike to the account. These warnings may apply to multiple users in the case where multiple users are involved in the said offense. A further exhibit of toxic behavior will be met with a harsher penalty. All warnings are tied to the user which will go away after some period of time, depending on the situation.
Temporary Suspension – A warning is not required before temporary suspension occurs. Depending on the nature of the offense, a temporary suspension can last anywhere from a few days to weeks.
Ban – Again, a warning/suspension is not required ahead of time depending on the severity of the offense. A user that has been suspended in the past will very likely be permanently banned upon further infraction.
SERVER RULES
This list of rules will be updated as necessary with reasonable notice via an announcement. As a member of the community, it is your own responsibility to keep yourself updated with the policy. Players can also help keep our server welcoming by reporting any players who they believe are in violation of these rule(s).

1) CONTENT: The following sections outline language, expression, and naming of characters, accounts, or guilds, clear or masked, which is not allowed on the server.
A. Race, Ethnicity, Gender, Nationality, Language, Life Choices, Religion, and Politics
- Anything that promotes, is recognized as or alludes to symbols of racial, ethnic, gender, national, life choice, religious, political hatred or slurs, or derogatory content based on spoken language.
- Anything related to real-life politics.
- Anything related to real-life religion.
B. Sexuality and Violence
- Anything that promotes, is recognized as or alludes to symbols of excessively sexual or violent acts.
- Anything that promotes, is recognized as or alludes to symbols of minors in sexual situations.
- Anything that insults or demeans any aspect of any sexual orientation.
- Anything construed as pornographic.
C. Personal attacks and Threats
- Any language that can be perceived as an attack against other players or the staff members
- Any threats, veiled or otherwise, made against other individuals, or the staff members
D. Inappropriate Obscenity, Vulgarity, and Profanity
- Anything construed as referring to human anatomy, mental development, or bodily functions inappropriately.
- Anything construed as excessively crude or offensive.
E. Illegal Activity
- Discussing illegal activity committed personally.
F. Harassment and Defamatory Statements
- Anything construed as referring to other individuals or staff members using any disallowed content or behavior.
2) BEHAVIOR: The following sections outline actions that are not allowed in-game.
A. Disruption
- Any language or actions intended to disturb other individuals.
- Any disruption or exploitation of contests and promotions.
B. Advertising
- Any promotion of other servers.
- Any promotion of services outside of the server unless approved by the staff(s).
C. Scamming/Fake Bidding
- Acquiring items, currency, or any other in-game possessions from another individual through misinformation, confusion, or fraud.
- Engaging in fraudulent bidding practices, including but not limited to fake bidding.
D. Cheating
- All forms of illegal or unfair gameplay including the use of third-party applications or .wz edits to improve performance.
E. Impersonation
- Any impersonation of other individuals or Staff Member(s)
F. Misrepresentation
- Misrepresentation of the Staff Members. This includes falsely quoting staff members or quoting moderators or staff members in such a way that the content or context of the material quoted is changed.
G. Trading In-Game Items or Accounts for Real-World Currency
- Requesting, arranging, or offering the exchange of in-game items or accounts for real-world currency.
- Requesting, arranging, or offering the exchange of real-world currency.
H. Selling/Trading of Character Names
- Requesting or offering the exchange of in-game character names that involve any RMT activities.
3) MAP RESERVATION: Map reservation refers to the temporary ownership granted to a player when he/she enters the map if it is not occupied. Players can verify the ownership of the map by using the @map command. Players who enter a map that is under the ownership of another player may ask if they can share the map or change channels to find an empty map to claim. If the player owning the map is AFK or does not respond to any form of chat for 5 minutes, the map is up for grabs even if @map shows that the player owns the map. If the player who owns the map leaves the map empty for ANY reason and does not return within 5 minutes, the map is free for anyone to claim.
4) PURCHASE OF DREAM POINTS: Purchasing of Dream Points are & should be done so willingly with your own account. After the completion of said purchase, you have no right whatsoever to refund/chargeback the transaction. If in the instance of which you have failed to receive the purchased points, you are advised to submit a missing points ticket/contact an Admin if the transaction is not under your game account transaction history.
5) GAMEMASTER PREROGATIVE: Interpretation of the above rules is at the sole discretion of the staff member. Content and behavior outside of these listed rules are also subject to gamemaster review and action.
6) ACCOUNT CLOSURE: Account closures executed by the staff members are permanent. New accounts made by owners of closed accounts which have committed serious violations will be summarily closed. A one-time appeal can be submitted on the website within 30 days for any account closure. After the 30 days period, the account which has been closed will be deleted from the game server.
